We set out on the famous budget-friendly bus, only to end up stranded in the middle of nowhere. Not to be discouraged, we decided to take on another local experience with a thrilling canal (klong) ferry ride. From the chaos of Bangkok's busiest areas to hidden gems, this adventure had it all. One of our surprising stops was Bangkok's famous "Plus Size Mall," where we found the best spot for plus-size clothing shopping in Thailand—along with a hidden food court upstairs! And as if our day couldn’t get better, we topped it off with a visit to Mark Wiens' restaurant, where the food was tasty, authentic, and seriously spicy. Join us as we navigate Bangkok's 8 Baht buses, and thrilling Klong ferries, and discover some of the city's lesser-known shopping and dining treasures. Perfect for budget travelers, foodies, and anyone looking to explore Bangkok beyond the typical tourist spots! We started with the best food recommendations from @MarkWiens , stopping at Raan Yaam Jae-Euang. The Tom Yum Goong was amazing, and the garlic prawns were just as delicious. We also tried the coconut ice cream at Mr. Tor—such a treat! We visited the pet section, which was fascinating but very crowded. You need extra time here with so much to see and do. What a fantastic day out!
